Position Objective

The Human Resources Department, under the Office of the Vice President for Administration, is functionally responsible for effectively managing and optimizing the organization's workforce to achieve its strategic goals and objectives.

The Junior Professional, Human Resources is responsible for supporting the administration and implementation of compensation, benefits, and payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with NDB’s policies and guidelines.

Purpose
  • Assist in the Bank’s compensation and benefit review, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the annual HR budget, including salaries and benefits budget. Prepare forecasts of the same.
  • Assist in the preparation of recommendations for Board Human Resource Committee submissions including costing, analysis, speaking notes etc.
  • Assist in the end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payment of salaries, benefits, and deductions.
  • Assist in preparation of reports like the Department wise Salaries and Benefits utilization, Annual leave accrual, Key Management Personnel data. Prepare periodic submission to Finance, Budget and Accounting (FBA).
Engagement
  • Assist employees with compensation, benefits, and payroll related inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Engage with compensation, benefits and payroll vendors and ensure accurate enrollment, changes, and terminations.
  • Collaborate with the HR team on cross-functional projects and initiatives.
  • Provide support during HR audits and ensure all compensation, benefits, and payroll records are audit ready.
Delivery
  • Conduct market research and benchmarking to support the development of competitive compensation strategies.
  • Maintain and update compensation, payroll and benefits databases and ensure data accuracy.
  • Analyze historical data and trends to support budget forecasting and planning. Track and report on budget utilization, identifying variances and recommending adjustments as needed.
  • Verify and reconcile timesheets, attendance records, and other payroll inputs.
  • Process payroll adjustments, including overtime, leaves and other allowances.
  • Support the administration of employee benefits programs like Children’s Education allowance, Home travel benefit, medical insurance, retirement plans, Life and Accidental Death and Disability and wellness initiatives.
  • Assist in vendor management when required
  • Any other ad hoc tasks which may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements
  • Master’s Degree or equivalent in HR or relevant field.
  • Relevant certification/s from globally recognized certification agencies in the related field would be preferred.
  • Minimum one year of relevant work experience is preferred. Candidates with less than one-year work experience, and Fresh Graduates who have obtained education degrees, as required by NDB, could also be considered.
  • Some experience in compensation, benefits, and payroll processing would be an advantage.
  • Strong data analytical skill.
  • Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., ADP, SAP SuccessFactors) would be an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
