Opportunity Available. Our leading client in the Automotive Sector is looking to employ a Junior Process Engineer to join their dynamic team in East London.

Responsibilities
  • Proactive and continuous assembly line improvement through monitoring, evaluation and change implementation.
  • Provide training and support to plant operating staff to ensure compliance with processes and standardized work.
  • Monitor and action production line concerns daily (outcomes of SFM).
  • Problem solving, corrective and preventive actions documented and implemented.
  • (repeat machine failures; FMEA; Control Plan; 8D; A3) Liaise with production, quality, process and suppliers to resolve engineering, design and process problems timeously.
  • New equipment planning, installation and commissioning and process change implementation on line.
  • Assist with customer concerns and product, process and system audits.
  • Ensure applicable documentation is updated and point of change is documented for all changes.
  • Cycle time evaluation and population of WBC with applicable derived outcomes planned and implemented.
  • Immediately escalated equipment or processes resulting in unsafe work condition or nonconforming products.
  • Support emergency demands and after hours work as may be required.
Qualifications
  • Grade 12 or Matric Certificate.
  • NDIP Electrical / Mechatronic / Industrial or Related Qualification.
  • 3-year automotive industry experience is a must.
  • Knowledge of FMEA / Control Plan.
  • Standard Work.
  • Cycle Time Analysis.
