Job summary

A motorcycle service company based in Gauteng is looking for a mechanic assistant. Job description
Duties Include :
  • Report to the Senior Mechanic and Rider.
  • Assist experienced mechanics with diagnosing and repairing motorcycles, including engines, electrical systems, suspension, and brakes.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks under supervision, such as oil changes, tire maintenance, and brake adjustments.
  • Learn to use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment.
  • Document all repairs and services accurately.
  • Participate in training sessions and technical workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Work closely with riders, supporting their mechanical needs and preparing bikes for events.
Requirements:
  • RSA passport and eligibility to travel. Aged
  • Passion for motorcycles and eagerness to learn the trade.
  • Prior experience or coursework in automotive or motorcycle repair.
  • Knowledge of motorcycle safety and maintenance standards.
  • Understanding the working of a motocross bike.
  • Motivated, hardworking, and reliable with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work under supervision and follow instructions.
  • Flexible and willing to travel with the team to events.
  • Basic technical knowledge or prior exposure to mechanical work is advantageous.
  • Good communication skills; ability to work as part of a team.
