We’re on the lookout for an experienced Junior Maintenance Planner to assist and execute elementary planning and scheduling of maintenance tasks aiding in the long-term plant availability and reliability which contributes to overall equipment effectiveness.

Responsibilities
  • Act as SAP Custodian in the plant including monitoring the status for the last 24 hours of notifications and that they have the correct functional location, works order, breakdown duration and OEE adherence.
  • Drive the weekly planning process ensuring compliance; print, issue and release work orders; compile and distribute the weekly plan compliance report; prepare chair the weekly planning meeting
  • Confirm work orders in SAP and highlight any actions resulting from works order completion
  • Create follow on orders for rotable and repairable items and follow up on orders. Dismantle and install rotable equipment in SAP and verify data accuracy in SAP
  • Pro-actively monitor the Shut progress for the applicable area, including limited scoping and shut status, works orders reports, co-ordinating Shut meetings and collating and distributing Shut reports
  • Manage work related to incidental shuts, including limited scoping, issuing spares, PRs and planning resources
  • Assist Foreman/Superintendent with SAP PM management for the MDT
  • Stand in for Planner in MDTs when required
  • Update the Incidental shut list and distribute weekly and ensure work is scoped and all resources planned on the works order.
  • Be available for standby or overtime duties when required
  • Update and distribute reports
  • Draw weekly Maintenance Cost reports to assist HOM manage their costs and close relevant works orders
  • Run the WBS (Work Breakdown Structure) report to view and check costs for shuts
  • Perform Settlement rule cost checks on shut works orders
  • Action Equipment with AVLB (Available) status older than 14 days
  • Create functional locations, maintenance equipment, work centres, maintenance items, maintenance plans and schedules when required
  • Update functional location, general task and equipment task lists on a regular basis.
  • Audit and update the functional location, equipment and material Bill of Materials on a regular basis
Qualifications
  • NQF level 4 qualification (Matric / N3)
  • Trade test will be considered advantageous
  • Relevant QCTO NQF5 qualification would be considered advantageous
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience within an engineering environment
  • 1-2 years SAP PM knowledge and proficiency together with Awareness of the OHS Act and lockout procedures will be considered advantageous
  • 1-2 years experience within an assistant planner role
  • MS Projects advantageous
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)
