Job summary

The Recruiters are seeking a Junior Legal & Risk Counsel to support the Head of Legal & Risk in Durban. The role covers commercial, risk and insurance matters within a high-volume logistics environment.

You will develop exposure to acquisitions, due diligence, governance and regulatory compliance while collaborating with external attorneys and brokers.

Qualifications

• LLB degree is essential.
• Completed articles or relevant experience in corporate/commercial law, risk or compliance.
• Strong contract drafting and interpretation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Professional and commercially minded; eager to learn.
• Exposure to commercial law, logistics, supply chain, maritime or transport environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and agreements.
