Minimum requirements for the role :
- Tertiary qualification is preferred but not essential for the role.
- Previous internal or external sales experience having sold chemical raw materials into the personal care or homecare or related industries is preferred, but candidates from the Food or Industrial raw material sectors will also be considered.
- The successful candidate must be a strong team player with the ability to build and foster relationships.
- Must have good business acumen with analytical and synthesis skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills are essential.
- Computer literacy is essential with good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages.
The successful candidate will be responsible for :
- Managing key accounts within the personal care and homecare manufacturing industries.
- Developing relationships with customers to ensure strategic alignment.
- Establishing and achieving monthly and annual budgets, based on customer information and forecasts.
- Identifying customer needs to increase customer profitability for sustainable and profitable mutual growth.
- Working closely with the customer to ensure that the correct raw materials are procured for them.
- Working closely with the warehouse and distribution team to ensure that products are forecasted correctly and delivered on time.
- Ensuring timely and correct delivery of personal care raw materials to customers.
- Assisting and working closely with a senior manager to ensure that customer expectations are met at all times.
