Job summary

Zohorecruit in Pretoria, South Africa, is seeking a junior Java/Angular developer to contribute to new technology initiatives. You’ll build proofs-of-concept, write Java and Spring Boot REST APIs, and create basic Angular screens as part of fast-moving projects.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of software development experience, solid Java fundamentals, and a willingness to learn new tools. You’ll work with SQL databases, Git, and collaborate across the team through the full SDLC.

Qualifications

Requirements

Key responsibilities:

• Build and support proof-of-concepts and small software pieces for new technology initiatives.


• Write Java and Spring Boot code against agreed designs, including REST APIs and data access.


• Build basic Angular screens and components where a proof-of-concept needs a frontend.


• Work with relational databases and SQL as part of the build.


• Use Git for day-to-day development, branching and code review.


• Follow the software development lifecycle: requirements, build, test, and handover.


• Document what was built so the wider team can pick it up.


• Learn new tools and technologies quickly and apply them on the next initiative.

Must-have experience:
