Job summary

Ergasia Placements in Bloemfontein is seeking a hands-on installation technician to support IT hardware and cabling projects. You will install, terminate and test CAT6 and fibre, mount cameras and network devices, and ensure compliant cabling across sites.

The role requires a National Senior Certificate (NQF4), at least 3 years in an IT environment, and at least 2 years in hardware, network infrastructure, CCTV, and fibre installations.

Qualifications

• National Senior Certificate (NQF4) or equivalent.
• 3 years IT environment experience.
• At least 2 years in IT hardware, network infrastructure, CCTV and fibre installations.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate and test CAT6, fibre cabling.
• Mount and connect devices such as cameras, WI‑FI access points, switches and network cabling.
• Diagnose and repair faults in cabling, devices, or system configuration.
• Pull, route, label and secure cables according to standards and site requirements.
• Terminate cables in patch panels, cabinets, and equipment rooms.
• Maintain and recording of equipment and stock levels.

• Valid RSA driver's license with own transport.
