Job summary

A leading logistics company in Midrand is looking for an investigator to handle security matters. This role requires a Grade 12 and Risk Management qualification, exceptional communication skills, and at least 3 years of investigation experience. Responsibilities include conducting investigations and recommending security improvements to management. We seek a candidate with a police background who demonstrates unquestionable integrity and leadership skills.

Job Purpose

To investigate, collect and preserve physical evidence, prepare written reports of the investigation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct investigations on behalf of Vector Logistics into matters committed against the Company or its employees.
  • Conduct investigations into offences committed by Company employees and contractors.
  • Make recommendations to Management based on the outcome of these investigations.
  • Review collected local intelligence data.
  • Conduct investigations as directed by the Risk & Security Manager.
  • Review Policies and Procedures with respect to security and advise Management on methods to minimise security risk.
  • Regularly test documented security procedures for employee compliance.
  • Follow all South African laws pertaining to performance of duty.

Qualifications And Experience

Qualifications, Skills and Experience Required for the Job

  • Grade 12 and Risk Management qualification or studying towards (It’s a must).
  • PSIRA.
  • Have no criminal convictions.
  • Be able to prepare detailed reports which include recommendations to Management on improvements to security.
  • Good communication of the English language.
  • Extensive experience in investigation.
  • Police background encompassing investigations and presentation of offenders before the Courts.
Skills and Competencies
  • 3 years investigation experience.
  • Proven and developed leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Unquestionable integrity.
