Job summary

A leading health and safety firm is seeking a Junior Health and Safety Officer in Cape Town. The candidate will be responsible for training employees in health and safety procedures, compiling project-specific health and safety files, and assisting management with health and safety systems. Qualifications include a SAMTRAC certification, SACPCMP registration, and experience in health and safety management in construction and manufacturing. This is a full-time, in-person position.

Qualifications

• Must be a South African citizen residing in Cape Town.
• Willingness to travel and work after normal hours.
• Clear criminal record and excellent reference.

Responsibilities

• Train employees in health and safety procedures.
• Compile and present health and safety files for projects.
• Assist with implementing and monitoring health and safety systems.

Skills

Training in occupational health and safety procedures

Exceptional administrative skills

Excellent communication skills in English

Education

SAMTRAC qualification aligned with level 5

Registered at SACPCMP

Valid certification for HIRA, Legal Liability, Accident Investigation
