Managed People Solutions is Seeking a Junior HR and Enablement Manager based in Cape Town. The role supports employee experience, HR initiatives, and compliance across the group. The ideal candidate will help build a positive, high-performing, and inclusive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide input to the People & Compliance Manager in order to develop a quarterly budget for the Human Resources division, as and when requested.
- Assist with the compilation of detailed Human Resources Reports as directed by the People & Compliance Manager. This includes but is not limited to, a Performance Management (PM) Report(s), Employment Equity Report(s), Compliance and Policy Report(s), Employee Relation(s) etc.
- Assist with building and maintaining effective relationships with clients/customers and ensure operational excellence.
- This includes arranging and attending monthly Senior Leadership Team meetings (for each company within the group) to ascertain further needs and to report back on previous action plans.
- Ensure an active and concise chain of communication and manage the flow and dissemination of information to relevant parties and stakeholders.
- Ensure effective and efficient delivery of all services within the People and Culture realm to the respective clients.
- Contribute towards ad hoc projects, as and when required.
- Assist in ensuring effective end-to-end recruitment processes, from attracting top talent to successful placement, with a focus on a positive candidate experience, EVP, and best practice approaches (internally and externally).
- Support the implementation of the enablement strategy for the Functional Group, ensuring alignment with development and capability needs across various occupational levels.
- Ensure that the Pre- and 100 days of Connectivity are executed effectively with each new hire and that all required documents are completed.
- Assist Line Managers with people relations issues, as and when required (investigations and corrective action reviews).
- Assist with conducting disciplinary inquiries and provide legislative advice to management, ongoing.
- Ensure all job profiles within the client are up to date and reviewed annually (or as and when required). This includes maintaining the Job Profile tracker per client.
- Guide and support line managers to ensure performance contracts are done at appropriate intervals and that KPI’s for each position are clearly defined.
- In addition to this, implement and manage effective performance management and report on findings and trends identified via the PM Report in line with PM sequence.
- Ensure all related employment documentation adheres to labour legislation and compliance, ongoing. This includes, ensuring signed letters are received back, filed and employee records are up to date.
- Ensure implementation of activities linked to Engagement, Culture and Employee wellness. This includes providing input as and where required, as well as conducting stay interviews, driving employees’ wellbeing programme, coordinate We Care initiatives and/or facilitating informal check-ins with employees.
- Prepare general letters including but not limited to Embassy letters, as requested by employees.
- Ensure that all documentation for terminated employees is processed accurately and timeously sent to the employee.
Termination documentation includes:
- Last Opinion.
- Pension Fund Termination.
- Equipment returns email.
- Alumni Progamme.
- Exit Interview.
- Ensure that all Parental leave documentation for employees going on Parental Leave has been sent to the employee.

- Manage the maintenance of the Connectivity pathway and ensure that all connectivity documents are saved and updated in relevant employee records.
- Manage the maintenance of the People and Culture elements on the Sage 300 People system to ensure that all employee information for all clients is updated and data integrity is upheld.
- Manage the maintenance of the data administration on the Signify system. Ensure the data integrity of the system remains accurate in order to pull reports.

- Guide and support the development and growth of team members (direct reports) by effectively managing development and career path plans (where applicable), to ensure that team members are continuously upskilled and can demonstrate an understanding of the profession and changing landscape.
- Support in the management and adherence to Human Resources policies and procedures. Ensuring that Human Capital processes and practices are standardised and updated per the Quality Management SOP.
- Implement and promote good People Governance and best practice.
- Support in ensuring that elements related to Occupational Health and Safety compliance are met, in line with the OSH SOP.
- Assist in the compilation and submission of the EE report annually and ensure the Employment Equity Meetings take place.
- Ensure effective skills transfer and cross-functional training of all direct reports to contribute towards succession planning and shaping a work environment that promotes continuous development of talent.
- Support succession planning initiatives within the Meridian Functional Group.
- Motivate, inspire, and empower employees to foster a positive work environment and high levels of employee satisfaction.
- Unlock effort and drive a high-performing team.
- Facilitate open and effective communication and promote cross-functional and cross-company collaboration thereby contributing towards a diverse and productive work environment.
- Address and resolve conflicts within the team to maintain a healthy work environment.
- Facilitate regular check-in meetings with team members to discuss progress made on KPI achievement (performance), development opportunities (individualised guidance), and well-being (personally and professionally).
Requirements and Experience:
- Diploma or BCom degree or Postgraduate degree in Human Resource Management or related fields.
- 2 years of HR generalist experience, supervisory experience would be advantageous.
- More than 2 years HR generalist experience, with 1+ years proven management experience.
