Job summary

You will handle monthly reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, GP reports, and asset accounting while ensuring internal controls and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications include Matric and a BCom degree with strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Matric Grade 12 is compulsory.
• A BCom degree is required.

Responsibilities

• Monthly financial and management reporting.
• Meeting month end deadlines.
• Capture financial entries; review performance and distribute reports.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare GP reports and margin analysis.
• Compile GL reconciliations monthly.
• Fixed Asset Capex maintenance including disposals and depreciation.
• Prepare Exco packs and PDF documents.
• Maintain internal controls and compliance with company policies.

POSITION: Junior Group Accountant
LOCATION: Midrand
REPORTING TO: Finance Manager

Role Description

• To take responsibility for financial and other tasks related to specific business units as well as group finance activities.
• Key Performance Areas
• Monthly financial and management reporting
• Meeting specific month end deadlines in a timely manner
• Capture financial entries, review financial performance and distribute financial reports
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of GP reports for analysis, and margin interrogation
• Compilation of G.L recons monthly
• Capture financial entries, compile reports for distribution to BU’s
• Fixed Asset Capex maintenance including applications, additions, disposal, depreciation and related accounting entries
• Prepare Exco packs and PDF documents
• Maintain internal control and compliance with company policies
• Ad hoc tasks as and when requested Qualification and Experience
