Job summary

Placements24 is offering an entry-level Apprentice Graphic Designer role in East London, South Africa. The apprenticeship provides hands-on experience in creating marketing materials, branding elements, and digital assets under a senior design team's guidance.

You'll learn industry-standard software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, build a professional portfolio, and develop collaboration and communication skills in a creative, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• A Grade 12 certificate or equivalent with strong interest in art and design.
• Basic understanding of design principles and aesthetics.
• Familiarity with computers and willingness to learn design software.
• Good communication and team collaboration skills.
• Creativity, attention to detail, and a strong desire to learn and grow as a designer.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating visual concepts, graphics, and layouts for marketing materials.
• Learn design software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Work with senior designers to refine designs based on feedback and project requirements.
• Prepare final artwork files for print or digital deployment.
• Maintain a portfolio of work developed during the apprenticeship.
