Duties & Responsibilities

The main responsibility will be assisting the daily running of a fleet of vehicles This entails reporting to the Senior Fleet Controller and assisting in supervision of drivers, maximising the utilization of trucks, monitoring trucks, focus on diesel consumption, ensure regulatory and legal compliance ,planning loads ,routes & services , administration tasks and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• ? Must have a valid driver's licence and own transport to work? Minimum Matric qualification is essential.
• ? Relevant Diploma or tertiary qualification advantageous.
• ? A minimum of 1-3 years' experience within a similar role or environment is required(Insight in transport business – what is the cost factors , risks etc.)? Must have good computer skills and embrace technology? Knowledge of logistics planning system is advantageous? Have good communication skills (English & Afrikaans and 3rd official SA language will be strong recommendation)? Ability to communicate with clients and drivers and understand the importance of communicating with both parties regularly? Supervisory skills? Be energetic and enthusiastic.
