Job summary

A leading marketing firm in Johannesburg is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Financial Accountant to support the month-end close process and assist the Financial Accountant with various reconciliations. The ideal candidate will possess Grade 12 with Accounting and strong skills in Excel. This role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 with Accounting as a subject.
• Previous experience as a Junior Accountant or in a similar role is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for assigned companies.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and reports.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
• Assist with preparation and filing of company secretarial documents.
