Job summary

Talent Shore Ltd. is seeking a Junior Accountant / Finanzbuchhalter to join our finance team in Johannesburg. The role focuses on the documentation, analysis and presentation of financial data, coordinating with internal staff and external partners.

Responsibilities include posting transactions in DATEV, handling invoicing and tax returns, maintaining master data, and assisting in monthly and annual financial statements in line with HGB, with collaboration from the UK team.

Qualifications

• Very good, business fluent knowledge of the German language, both written and spoken
• Very good, business fluent knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken, desirable
• High degree of loyalty, ability to work in a team and sense of responsibility
• Independent, committed and self-reliant way of working
• Very good organizational and coordination skills as well as accuracy
• Completed commercial training with relevant further qualifications in financial accounting or completed (technical) university studies in accounting, finance, business administration or similar.

Responsibilities

• Independent posting of all business transactions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, assets, bank, credit cards and travel expenses in DATEV (CDG and CTS)
• Carrying out invoicing, dinning, and advance sales tax returns
• Preparation and checking of payment runs
• Master data and account maintenance
• Participation in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements according to HGB in cooperation with the external tax office and our colleagues (m/f/d) in the UK
• Contact person for employees, customers and suppliers as well as auditors and authorities
• Support with weekly cash flow updates
• Participation in projects as well as provision and preparation of information for other departments
