The Role: Junior Engineer

You will provide technical support to production operations while assisting with engineering projects and process optimisation. This role involves monitoring and improving manufacturing processes, troubleshooting, training teams, and ensuring quality and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Industrialise and maintain product processes to support smooth startups and process sustainability.
  • Gather data, perform analysis, and identify trends to support process improvements.
  • Ensure machine reliability, monitor operations, and take corrective action to maintain product quality.
  • Control scrap and waste, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Train technical teams on tools, processes, and best practices.
  • Support implementation of new systems or software to boost productivity.
  • Manage technical inventory, ordering equipment and materials as required.
  • Uphold Health & Safety, GMP, and FSSC standards, reporting hazards and incidents.
  • Maintain detailed records of processes, changes, and outcomes.
  • Act as a role model for teamwork, self-management, and company standards.
About You
  • Grade 12 plus a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 2 -5 years of relevant experience in an engineering/production environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of processes, equipment, raw materials, and moulds.
  • Skilled in fault finding, equipment testing, and installation of parts.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety, GMP, and quality systems.
  • Strong communication, project management, and administration skills.
  • Decisive, proactive, and detail-oriented with high emotional intelligence.
