Job summary

Pollock & Associates in Cape Town is seeking a Junior Technical Engineer to repair and support electronic equipment at the component level, with some installations and site visits.

You will own tasks from repair to documentation, work under the Technical Manager, and contribute to safe practice and neat records.

Applicants should have Matric, 2+ years repairing digital/RF gear, a valid driver's license, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12); a second language is advantageous
• Minimum 2 years repairing digital and/or RF equipment to component level
• Valid driver’s licence and your own reliable transport
• You stay calm and courteous with customers, even under pressure
• You work through shifting priorities with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Component-level electronic and mechanical repairs, done neatly and on time
• Installation support, from consultation to hands-on fitting
• Configuring and testing sales demonstration equipment
• Accurate job records, good housekeeping and safe practice
