Job summary

Network Finance is seeking a motivated Junior Electrical / Electronic Engineer to join its engineering team in Gauteng. You will work on electrical and electronic systems, assist with design, testing and project implementation, and collaborate with experienced engineers to develop practical solutions.

The role suits a recent BEng/BSc graduate with 0–2 years’ experience, strong analytical skills and ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• BEng / BSc in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• 0–2 years' relevant engineering experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good understanding of electrical and/or electronic engineering principles.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with engineering software, CAD, PLCs, embedded systems or simulation tools would be advantageous.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's licence would be advantageous.
• South African citizenship or valid working rights.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design, development and implementation of electrical and electronic systems.
• Prepare and update engineering drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
• Assist with electrical calculations, component selection and technical specifications.
• Support the development, testing and commissioning of electrical/electronic equipment.
• Perform fault-finding, troubleshooting and technical investigations.
• Assist senior engineers with engineering projects from concept through to implementation.
• Participate in testing, verification and validation of systems and equipment.
• Liaise with suppliers, technicians, production teams and other engineering disciplines.
• Assist with technical reports, project documentation and engineering calculations.
• Ensure designs and engineering work comply with relevant standards, specifications and safety requirements.
• Provide technical support to internal teams and customers when required.
• Travel to client sites or project locations when necessary.
