Placements24 is seeking a motivated Junior Electrical Design Engineer for our clients in Tembisa, Gauteng. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience, working closely with senior engineers on electrical design for diverse industrial and commercial projects.

You will develop skills in schematics, BOMs, and CAD tools while learning to apply electrical codes and standards within a supportive engineering team. This position emphasizes growth, mentorship, and practical, real-world experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Basic understanding of electrical principles such as circuit theory and power systems.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar CAD tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Eagerness to learn and develop technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panels under senior engineers.
• Prepare technical specifications and BOMs for components and equipment.
• Conduct basic electrical testing and troubleshoot design issues.
• Participate in site visits to support installation and gather requirements.
• Create and maintain project documentation, including design reports and test procedures.
• Learn and apply relevant electrical codes and standards to design work.
