A global technology leader is seeking an Associate Digital Forensics Incident Response Analyst in Gqeberha. This entry-level role is responsible for assisting in threat detection and monitoring, serving as a technical first responder to security incidents, and collaborating with Cyber Security Analysts. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Information Technology or Computer Science and knowledge of information security practices. Qualifications

• Entry level experience in a Technology Information Security Industry.
• Experience using End Point Protection Software.
• Experience or knowledge of SIEM and IPS technologies.
• Experience with Wireshark or tcpdump.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the prevention and resolution of security breaches.
• Support access management activities according to policy.
• Notify internal/external teams according to alert priority levels.
• Log, manage, and coordinate service requests through to resolution.

Skills

Knowledge of technological advances within the information security arena

Understanding of inter-relationships in an overall system or process

Knowledge of information security management and policies

Maintain an understanding of current and emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and trends

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science or related

SANS GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) or equivalent

SANS GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA) or equivalent

SANS GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) or equivalent
