Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Software Developer in Johannesburg for 1-3 years of experience. You will contribute to software design, coding, testing and deployment using C#/Java with T-SQL and RESTful services.

Responsibilities include analyzing existing programs, researching new systems, writing clean code, debugging, and collaborating with developers and team leaders to meet deadlines while staying current with new technology trends.

Qualifications

• BSc Degree (Computer Science) or related qualification.
• 1-3 years in software development.
• Core requirements include C# / JAVA, T-SQL, RESTful/JSON/SOAP Web Services.

Responsibilities

• Meet with Developers and Development Team Leaders to discuss the scope of software projects and deadlines.
• Analysing existing programs for modification purposes.
• Researching and designing new software systems, websites, programs and applications.
• Writing clean scalable code.
• Troubleshooting and debugging code.
• Reviewing code work for accuracy and functionality.
• Verifying and deploying software systems.
• Creating and implementing design plans.
• Testing and Code reviews of newly developed features.
• Recommending and executing program improvements.
• Maintaining software code and security systems.
• Creating technical documents and training staff.
• Staying abreast of new technology and or changes in the development sphere.
