Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and talented Junior Data Scientist to join our globally distributed team. As a Junior Data Scientist at SavageOne, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with top-tier professionals from around the world, working on challenging projects that push the boundaries of data science and drive meaningful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean, preprocess, and analyze large datasets from various sources to extract actionable insights and identify patterns.
- Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems and optimize processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Utilize statistical techniques to conduct hypothesis testing, A/B testing, and other analytical experiments to validate models and findings.
- Communicate findings and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear visualizations, reports, and presentations.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and related fields, and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, with experience in data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy) and machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Solid understanding of data analysis techniques, statistical concepts, and machine learning algorithms.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases for data extraction and manipulation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a globally distributed team.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Prior experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Seaborn, Tableau) is a plus.
