Job summary

Boardroom Appointments invites a skilled Cost Accountant to join our manufacturing finance team. You will maintain BOMs, load new BOMs via SharePoint, and collaborate with the Cost Accountant to explain BOM variances against Syspro data.

You’ll oversee stock control, coordinate monthly stock takes (occasional Saturdays), analyze variances, and implement robust controls across warehouses. Strong Excel skills and SAP-like attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• ND/CMA/Advanced Diploma with 3+ years in accounting/finance.
• Minimum 1 year cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Advanced Excel skills are essential.
• Exposure to Syspro is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Assist in loading new BOM on SharePoint workflow.
• Investigate BOM variances between actual manufacturing and Syspro data.
• Control stock and coordinate monthly stock takes (some Saturdays).
• Analyze variances and implement control measures.
• Balance and check warehouses; perform cycle counts.
• Prepare and process Stock Adjustments.

Job description

• ND / CMA degree/ Advanced Diploma and 3+ years of accounting/finance experience
• Minimum 1 year Cost Accounting experience in manufacturing environment
• Advanced daily movement of stock
• Exposure to Syspro will be advantageous
• Advanced Excel skills

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining Bill of Materials (BOM)
• Assisting in loading of new bill of materials on SharePoint workflow
• Assist Cost Accountant to investigate Bill of Material variances between actual manufacturing in the plant vs what is on syspro
• Controlling of Stock
• Co-ordinating monthly stock takes and ensuring accurate capturing thereof (this does occasionally occur on a Saturday)
• Analysing variances and implementing control measures
• Balancing and checking warehouses
• Cycle counts
• Preparation and processing of Stock Adjustments
