Job Advert Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Construction Manager to join our dynamic team in Roodepoort.

This role is instrumental in ensuring that solar construction projects are delivered with exceptional quality, adhere to strict safety protocols, and remain compliant with company and industry standards.

You will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure deadlines are met and budgets maintained, while acting as the on-site representative for Solareff.

Minimum Requirements

Qualification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Similar.

Candidate CM (SACPCMP Registered) or PMP advantageous.

1 to 3 years minimum - Solar, Electrical and civils advantageous.

Solar & Electrical background.

Occupational Health & Safety Act Legal Liability & HIRA.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise daily site operations to ensure adherence to project plans and safety standards.

Ensure all work is carried out with high quality, strict safety measures, and in full compliance with Solareff standards.

Act as the appointed Solareff site representative.

Ensure the construction schedule is followed and collaborate closely with the Project Manager to maintain timelines and budgets.

Coordinate and manage sub-contractor schedules, cash flow, and timelines.

Serve as the on-site liaison between the client, installers, and Solareff project team.

Monitor and ensure ongoing construction quality on site.

Manage site stock and materials, ensuring availability and proper usage.

Maintain excellent housekeeping standards on-site at all times.

Ensure installers meet time constraints and implement designs as specified by the engineering team.

Facilitate clear communication between the site and office teams to ensure seamless execution of project decisions.
