Job description
Overview

For a junior property professional looking to develop depth, commercial confidence and long-term progression, this should be your next move. You’ll be joining a well-established property group with more than three decades of experience managing a substantial retail and commercial portfolio valued at approximately R3.5 billion. The business operates across development and asset management, with a culture that’s supportive, growth-oriented and fast-moving without being chaotic.

Responsibilities
  • In this role, you’ll be involved in the financial and operational management of commercial properties, with a strong focus on tenant accounts, debt collections and arrears management.
  • You’ll engage directly with tenants regarding payments and renewals, prepare monthly management accounts and reporting, and oversee utilities, rates and municipal charges.
  • You’ll also support annual budget preparation, compliance requirements and reporting to senior management as part of a wider property team.
Qualifications
  • BSc in Property Studies and around 2-5 years’ exposure to commercial property management, whether through a permanent role or a structured internship within a REIT environment. Experience managing government tenants would be a strong plus.
  • You’ll need to be comfortable working with leases and government billing, confident in Excel, and naturally detail-driven with a solid numerical foundation.
  • MDA software exposure would be beneficial, and the role is best suited to someone based in Johannesburg.
