THE COMPANY : One of South Africa's largest and most respected financial services groups operating at an enterprise scale with millions of customers.

They are currently undergoing a digital transformation by migrating critical systems to Microsoft Azure, building and managing a highly complex large-scale cloud infrastructure designed to deliver agility, security and resilience across diverse financial products and services.

THE ROLE

As a Junior Cloud Engineer you will support the deployment, automation and maintenance of enterprise‑scale Microsoft Azure infrastructure in a cloud‑first environment, collaborating closely with development and infrastructure teams.

Responsibilities

• Provisioning and automating Azure services
• Managing infrastructure with Terraform
• Supporting CI/CD pipelines
• Monitoring environments
• Responding to incidents
• Contributing to cost optimisation and security compliance
• Maintaining documentation

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in IT or a related field
• Certified Azure Administrator Associate (AZ‑)
• Years of professional IT or cloud experience
• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning
• Exposure to GitHub Actions
• Understanding of networking (DNS, VPN, firewalls, subnets), virtualization and operating systems
• Required Experience: Junior IC
• Key Skills: Electro Mechanical, Instrument Maintenance, Adobe Dreamweaver, Document Control Management, E‑Commerce
