Old Mutual South Africa is seeking a claims assessor in the life insurance domain. You will use specialist medical knowledge to evaluate and approve or decline claims within set business rules, while learning as part of a dedicated claims assessment team.

The role requires shifting hours and overtime where necessary to meet service commitments. The ideal candidate holds a medical or allied degree or a related three-year diploma, with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills

Formación

• Matric with Biology, Mathematics, or Accounting is essential.
• Medical or allied degree (e.g., Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy) or a related diploma is advantageous.
• Claims assessing experience is an added advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Assess claims in the individual life benefit range using specialist knowledge.
• Evaluate contracts and determine liability on claims.
• Manage risk and make decisions within standardised practice.
