Job Description:

• The applicant will report to the Unit Manager and be responsible for managing an approximately 160-hectare production unit, including all aspects of establishment, production, labour, packhouse, and quality management.
• Maintenance management and general farm administration.
• Disease and pest control.
• Fertilisation and irrigation management (pump house and electronic systems).
• Citrus harvesting

Requirements:

• Energetic, hardworking, self-motivated individual with a passion for citrus, supported by a proven track record of at least 2 years’ relevant practical and technical experience in citrus cultivation.
• Ability to function under pressure and apply sound, rational decision-making.
• Good interpersonal skills with above-average communication abilities at all levels.
• Thorough knowledge of all cultivation practices related to citrus.
• Computer literate.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in agriculture.
• Sound knowledge of fertilisation and irrigation practices; experience with ultra-low flow systems will be advantageous.
