Placements24 is seeking a motivated Junior Blockchain Developer to join our client’s growing tech team in Durban. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in the Crypto & Blockchain space, working under senior developers to build decentralized applications and smart contracts.

You'll gain exposure to multiple blockchain technologies, collaborate with a supportive team, and contribute to real-world solutions while learning best practices in development, testing, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with blockchain concepts, cryptocurrencies and distributed ledger technology.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Go).
• Willingness to learn Solidity for smart contract development.
• Good problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude, with a desire to work in Durban.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of smart contracts for various blockchain platforms.
• Participate in the testing and debugging of blockchain applications and smart contracts.
• Support senior developers in integrating blockchain solutions with front-end and back-end systems.
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing within the development team.
