Job summary

Placements24 in East London, South Africa, invites students or recent graduates to join as an entry-level blockchain developer intern. This hybrid role offers hands-on experience, working with seasoned blockchain engineers on real-world projects and learning essential development skills.

You will assist in coding, testing, and deploying smart contracts and dApps, gain familiarity with JavaScript, Python, Solidity, and Git, and participate in code reviews.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of programming concepts and languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Solidity.
• Familiarity with blockchain fundamentals and cryptocurrencies.
• A strong desire to learn and grow in the blockchain space.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Experience with Git version control is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior developers in coding, testing, and deploying smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps).
• Learn and apply blockchain development principles and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality.
• Research new blockchain technologies and tools to support project needs.
• Help troubleshoot and debug code under supervision.
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge-sharing within the team.
