Placements24 is seeking a motivated Junior Automotive Designer to join our creative team in Stellenbosch. You will contribute to conceptualization and design development of future vehicle models, under the guidance of senior designers.

In this entry-level role, you will translate ideas into sketches, renderings and digital models, while developing your portfolio and learning cutting-edge automotive design workflows within a leading studio.

Qualifications

• Degree in Automotive Design, Industrial Design or related field.
• Proficiency in Alias, Blender, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Strong portfolio of automotive design work.
• Excellent freehand sketching abilities and eye for form.

Responsibilities

• Create exterior and interior vehicle design sketches and concepts.
• Develop digital renderings and models using industry-standard software.
• Assist senior designers in refining proposals and preparing presentations.
• Research design trends, materials and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
• Participate in design reviews and provide creative input.
