Job summary

A leading automation solutions provider in Pretoria is seeking a Junior Automation Technician to join their dynamic team. You will work with cutting-edge systems such as KUKA Robots and Siemens PLCs. The ideal candidate should have a trade certificate, hands-on experience in automation, and strong technical skills. This role involves building, troubleshooting, and programming automation systems, with travel to client sites and food & lodging provided.

Qualifications

  • 3–10 months hands-on experience in automation.
  • Ability to read electrical drawings.
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical installation.

Requirements:

Applicable trade certificate (Electrical, Millwright, or Mechatronic)

3–10 months hands-on experience

Mechanical & electrical skills (practical + commissioning)

PLC programming & robotic systems experience

Willingness to travel to client sites (food & lodging provided)

Valid driver's license

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Strong technical & electrical installation knowledge

Proficiency in reading electrical drawings

Team player with problem-solving mindset
