Job summary

IP Architects (Pty) Ltd is seeking a newly graduated Candidate Architect to join our Johannesburg studio. You will work across active multi-family residential and commercial/planning projects in Johannesburg and Centurion, supporting registered Professional Architects.

You will assist with design development, working drawings, and construction documentation while coordinating with consultants and participating in site inspections and progress reporting.

Qualifications

• B Arch (Prof) or M Arch degree from a SACAP-accredited programme.
• Working knowledge of the NBR and SANS 10400 parts with interest in local town planning schemes.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is an advantage.
• Strong drawing, technical detailing and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design development, working drawings and construction documentation under supervision.
• Prepare and check drawings for compliance with NBR and SANS 10400 parts, including means of escape, fire, structural and accessibility.
• Support submissions to local municipal town planning schemes and heritage authority applications.
• Coordinate with structural, civil, mechanical and electrical consultants on documentation and detailing.
• Assist with site inspections, contract administration and progress reporting on active projects.
