About the job Junior Application Support Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Participation in complete life cycle of support issues from call logging, initial investigation, recreation, SQL scripting for data solutions, testing and liaison with stakeholders regarding delivery of fixes.
  • Provide specialised investigation and analysis to ensure data integrity of the provisioning applications and billing systems.
  • Assisting with coordinating and recreating of production issues on testing and QA environments
  • Assisting with coordinating and running of SQL queries against Oracle databases to extract and analyse data
  • Understanding clients business processes, procedures and requirements
  • Advise and assist with the making of configuration amendments to the client systems using Linux and Oracle
  • Advise and assist with solutions for temporary workarounds
  • Verification and deployment of software release items for production implementation
  • Answering customer and internal technical system related queries
  • Review and improve operational requirements relating to the systems business processes
  • Advise and train analyst/support teams with system investigations and support processes
  • Familiarize and advise on the technical support requirements for major events
  • Perform the above on a shift basis
  • Participate in the support team standby schedule
  • Change Management
  • Ensure all incidents and support requests are addressed within the set SLA and OLA levels
  • Assist with Month End activities and reporting
