Job summary

Durban-based freight forwarding client seeks a Junior Air Import Controller to join their team. The role concentrates on air imports, documentation, bookings, and cargo tracking while liaising with airlines and customs to ensure smooth import flows.

Candidates should have 2–3 years of relevant experience; ShipShape experience is a plus. Preference may be given to a male candidate as requested by the client.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years experience in air import coordination or freight forwarding.
• Exposure to air waybills, bills of lading and customs entries preferred.
• Liaising with airlines, shipping lines and customs authorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage A-Z air imports (about 80% of the role).
• Coordinate bookings, documentation and cargo tracking.
• Handle air waybills, bills of lading, and related invoices.
