Job summary

SPAN Digital invites applicants to join SPAN LEAP, a 12‑month program turning junior engineers into AI‑ready software engineers. You’ll learn across front-end, APIs, data, DevOps, and testing with live projects, guided by mentors and peers.

You’ll grow through pair programming, AI-assisted learning loops, and structured reviews, with potential progression to a permanent role after the year-long contract.

Qualifications

• Has 6–12 months experience in software delivery.
• Reads and writes code in Java, Python, or Golang; TypeScript preferred.
• Understands core software development concepts and can reason about correctness.
• Keen to work with AI coding tools and accepts ownership of results.

Responsibilities

• As a junior engineer, work with delivery teams on small, well-defined features.
• Write, review, and reason about code that meets coding standards.
• Use AI tools to direct and orchestrate AI agents toward goals.
• Investigate and fix bugs with guidance from senior engineers.
• Write and run tests to ensure coverage for basic and edge cases.
• Participate in code reviews and act on feedback.
• Help configure and maintain automated quality gates for code health.
• Own the quality of your output, regardless of tooling.
