Red Ember Recruitment (Pty) Ltd in Pretoria is seeking an Accountant / Junior Accountant to join a professional accounting and tax practice. The role provides exposure to bookkeeping, financial reporting, tax compliance, and SARS matters while supporting a portfolio of individual and business clients.

You will handle cashbook capture, reconciliations, VAT and tax returns, and liaise with SARS under supervision.

Qualifications

• BCom degree in Accounting/Finance or final-year candidate.
• Accounting as a Grade 12 subject for junior candidates.
• Strong numerical and analytical ability.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Clear communication with clients and SARS.

Responsabilités

• Full capture and processing of cashbooks to financial statements.
• Perform bank reconciliations and keep records up to date.
• Assist with preparation of financial statements.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Prepare and submit Personal Income Tax returns.
• Assist with SARS queries and communications.
• Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation.
• Work with senior staff to resolve accounting queries.
