A financial services provider in South Africa is looking for a Finance Specialist to manage budgeting, oversee financial income statements, and resolve billing queries. Candidates should have a BCom degree and at least 3-5 years of experience in a finance function. Job description

Responsibilities

• Review budget monitors expenditure against actual daily, weekly and monthly and advise accordingly
• Prepare annual budgets
• Monthly monitor of expenses and income and providing management with sufficient commentary and feedback on the status of the income statement
• Resolve billing and account queries
• Receive arrears / outstanding debts and advise accordingly
• Review Fee schedules (takes ownership as GSS just assist with processing)
• Assist with the overdue debt collection process on campus liaising between brand and GSS
• Manage and control petty cash
• Monitor and control purchase on Procurement card and reconcile these
• See the procurement process through end to end : placing orders and completing the request to submit to GSS
• Monitor outstanding POs and process monthly journals as required
• Capex spend monitoring : spend applications and annual / termly fixed assets counts
• Check monthly payroll

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years experience doing the finance function
• Strong people management skills
• Ability to handle internal and external stakeholders
