Job summary

A recruitment agency seeks candidates for an accounting role in East London. Applicants should have qualifications in accounting or finance and experience with Pastel and SAGE. Job description

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

• Candidates with qualifications in accounting or finance will only be considered.
• Fast learner that can work independently and has a driven and positive personality.
• The prospective candidate NEEDS to be teachable and trainable so that with time he/she will be able to learn the other programmes used in house.

Experience requirements for the position:

• Pastel and SAGE processing experience, both manual processing and importing.
• Comfortable and confident with debtors/creditors, both manual processing and importing.
• Comfortable and confident with bank recons and pulling reports, both manual processing and importing.
• Efiling knowledge and experience.
• Previous accounting firm experience (or experience in financial statement preparation) would be a definite advantage.
• Experience in SARS submissions and VAT returns would be an advantage.
