Role Description

This is a full-time on-site Junior Accountant role located in Plattekloof. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of financial statements, performing reconciliations, managing accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll, and handling tax-related tasks. The candidate will work closely with the directors and trainees to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications
  • Recognised diploma/degree in accounting or incomplete degree but studying towards degree
  • 2+ years of experience in an accounting environment (in practice)
  • Completed SAIPA/CIMA/ACCA/SAICA articles (preferred not essential)
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
  • Familiarity with tax preparation and compliance
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency in Xero Accounting (or any other cloud based software)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent customer focus
  • Driver’s licence essential
  • Own vehicle essential
