This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting and financial reporting. The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and review of Balance Sheets and Income Statements.
• Support the maintenance and reconciliation of the General Ledger and Trial Balance.
• Process income tax submissions and assist with tax compliance activities.
• Capture and process financial transactions accurately and timeously.
• Assist with monthly and year-end closing procedures.
• Support the preparation of management reports and financial statements.
• Maintain organized and accurate accounting records.
• Assist senior accountants with audits and other financial projects as required.

Requirements

• Relevant Accounting Qualification (Diploma or Degree in Accounting, finance or related).
• 1-2 years experience in an accounting role.
• Solid understanding of balance sheets, income statements, general ledger and trial balance.
• Knowledge of income tax processing and statutory reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. Pastel, Sage or Quickbooks).
