The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Commerce degree, SAIPA/CA(SA) registration, and at least 3 years of accounting experience. Overview / About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our client’s dynamic accounting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, preparing financial statements, ensuring tax compliance, and overseeing accounting processes from start to finish. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional who values accuracy, integrity, and client service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage junior staff and review their work
  • Prepare Annual Financial Statements and Management Accounts for all entity types
  • Handle full bookkeeping function from cashbook to trial balance
  • Reconcile customers, suppliers, and general ledger accounts
  • Calculate and submit VAT201, EMP201, and Workman’s Compensation
  • Prepare and submit tax returns for companies, CCs, individuals, and trusts
  • Handle provisional tax and SARS correspondence, including VAT audits
  • Manage CIPC annual returns and company registrations
  • Liaise directly with clients, ensuring strong relationships and quality service delivery
