As a Junior Accountant at DHS South Africa, you play a key role in ensuring that financial administrations are accurate and well‑organized.
You are a detail‑oriented professional with a critical mindset and a strong desire to grow.
You will be based at our Century City office in Cape Town, where you will work closely with our team to support clients and contribute to the success of our firm.
You hold a university degree with at least one year of relevant work experience in an accounting firm. Speaking Afrikaans and English is a must. Willing to learn our systems. Willing to learn our (Dutch) accounting rules (not very different from IFRS). Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Affinity with automation in accounting.
You are used to working with deadlines and enjoy working in a team, but can also work independently when needed.
Time management is an important skill for the job, where you can manage with your team the schedule according to deadlines and delivery dates.
Moreover, you are eager to learn and to share knowledge with your colleagues.
Besides that you are accurate, quality‑focused and results‑oriented.
DHS South Africa is based in Century City, Cape Town, and is affiliated with Dijksterhuis Accountants in the Netherlands.
The Dutch office employs approximately 25 staff members, while the South African branch has currently a team of 5 employees.
Several times a year, colleagues from the Netherlands travel to South Africa to provide training.
At DHS South Africa we maintain an informal atmosphere and a flat organizational structure.
