Overview

At CX-International, we deliver reliable solutions and outstanding client support through our contact centre operations. We’re looking for a Junior Accountant to join our finance team and help ensure our numbers are as dependable as the services we provide.

A Junior Accountant supports the finance team by assisting with daily accounting tasks, ensuring accurate financial records, and contributing to the preparation of financial statements. They will also ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities
  • Process and reconcile supplier invoices and customer receipts.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating the general ledger.
  • Support the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Assist with VAT returns and other statutory filings.
  • Provide support in payroll processing by collecting and inputting data, and related tasks.
  • Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Maintain organized financial records and assist with ad-hoc finance tasks.
  • Assist in tracking budgets and monitoring variances. Help prepare reports highlighting budget performance.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Matric (Essential)
  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 1–3 years in a similar accounting role
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Pastel, QuickBooks, XERO) and Microsoft Excel
  • Understanding of South African tax laws and financial regulations
  • Clear credit and criminal record
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work comfortably with numbers, analyse financial data, and spot errors or inconsistencies.
