Job Title

Junior Accountant – Female Candidates Only

Location: Athlone Industrial

Salary: Market-related (Negotiable based on experience)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From R per month

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily financial tasks, including invoices, reconciliations, and budgets
  • Handle payroll, tax submissions, and employee benefits
  • Prepare financial management reports
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations for major accounts
  • Process invoices, credit notes, and debit notes accurately and on time
  • Ensure timely payment of debts and prepare month‑end supplier remittances
  • Manage VAT submissions (VAT)
  • Maintain inter‑company transactions and loan accounts
  • Manage payroll processing and reporting
  • Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts (accounts payable & receivable)
  • Track and report on management accounts, including Statement of Profit or Loss & Other Comprehensive Income, Statement of Financial Position
  • Update and reconcile general ledger items (Payroll, PAYE, UIF, SDL, Depreciation)
  • Assist with SARS returns: Income Tax (ITR12 & ITR14) and Provisional Tax (IRP6)
  • Work on accounting software such as Sage and Pastel
Requirements
  • National Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 3—5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of South African payroll, labour legislation, and VAT submissions
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Xero, or similar)
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
