Job summary

A fashion design company is seeking an enthusiastic accessories designer/CAD operator to join their team in Cape Town. The role involves executing designs, conducting trend research, and managing sample timelines. Candidates should have strong skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, along with excellent communication and time management abilities. This is a full-time position, and remote work is not permitted.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Execute CADs and designs as per brief from design team.
• CAD colour ups based on trending and relevant colours.

• Create tech-packs for sample development.
• Manage timelines for samples and ensure timely arrival.
• Prepare seasonal trend presentations for customers.
• Maintain Pantone library.
• Update digital logos and trademarks.

Responsibilities

• Execute CADs / designs as per brief given by design team.
• CAD colour ups based on trending and relevant colours.
• Trend research of upcoming fashion pockets and trends.
• Putting together tech-packs for sample development.
• Managing timelines for samples and ensuring on time arrival.
• Piling seasonal trend presentations to be presented to customers.
• Updating and maintenance of Pantone library.
• Updating and maintenance of digital logos and trademarks.

Skills Needed

• Advanced Knowledge in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office
• Basic knowledge and navigation in all popular social media platforms
• Good navigation and understanding of the latest internet browsers (Chrome / Safari)

Excellent communication skills with a great attention to detail. Ability to work well in a team and handle constructive criticism. Ability to work under pressure and meeting deadlines given is critical. Good time management and punctuality are essential skills needed. Prior accessories or CAD experience. Please note this job is based in Cape Town, Western Cape and applicants will need to reside in Cape Town, no remote working will be considered.
