Job summary

Scitech Placements is seeking an experienced Jumbo Operator to safely and efficiently operate underground jumbo drilling equipment at a Botswana mine site. This is a full‑time, on‑site position requiring working in demanding hard‑rock conditions and shifting underground schedules.

You will conduct pre‑start inspections, follow mine plans, report faults, and uphold all safety, health, and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience operating underground jumbo drills.
• Valid Drill Operator Certificate.
• Strong commitment to safety standards and procedures.
• Ability to work underground shifts and in demanding mining conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate jumbo drill rigs safely and efficiently.
• Complete drilling activities according to mine plans and production targets.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and basic equipment checks.
• Report equipment faults and operational issues.
