Key Responsibilities
- Research potential markets and assess opportunities for product distribution.
- Identify and engage with prospective distributors and installation partners.
- Develop and implement effective regional distribution strategies.
- Establish, train, and support agents or distributors to promote and sell products successfully.
- Conduct regular client visits, providing ongoing sales and technical support.
- Monitor agent performance and drive growth to achieve full market potential.
- Prepare visit reports, market analyses, and presentations for management review.
- Manage product and pricing master data, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business needs.
- Liaise with Supply Chain Coordinators to ensure smooth order-to-cash processes.
Key Markets
Ethiopia, Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Somalia
Frequent travel across these regions will be required. A valid passport and willingness to travel are essential.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in a technical sales environment, preferably within Sub-Saharan African markets.
- A post-matric qualification in Marketing, Accounting, Engineering, or Business Administration will be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of international sales and export processes.
- Highly proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with exposure to ERP systems (such as SAP or Pastel).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Confident, resilient, and capable of thriving under pressure.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and proactive with strong problem-solving ability.
