A leading sales firm in KwaZulu-Natal is seeking an experienced External Sales Representative specializing in welding. This role involves generating new business opportunities, maintaining client relationships, and achieving sales targets. External Sales Representative to join our growing team.

In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, building, and maintaining client relationships, and achieving sales targets through face-to-face meetings, client visits, and networking within a designated territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities in assigned areas.
  • Conduct regular client visits to present products/services and provide solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Provide accurate and timely sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback.
  • Participate in trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events. Which will require you to work over week ends.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., customer service, marketing) to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitors, and market developments.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in the Welding and PPE industry as an external sales representative or comparable sales role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office and Pastel Sage.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 – 5 years’ Experience in the Welding retail market and have product knowledge of the following welding processes. MMA, MIG, TIG, PLASMA and GAS CUTTING & WELDING is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to close sales and meet performance goals.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
